Greg strives to be on the leading-edge of agronomy solutions. He graduated and with B.S. degree in Agronomy from Iowa State and is excited to launch a new era of agronomy with MaxYield Seed.

Brad grew up on his family’s farm near Kanawha, Iowa. In the spring of 2003, he graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Agricultural Business and a minor in Agronomy. Brad has also farmed since 2003 and prior to joining the MaxYield team he worked for Morton Buildings for thirteen years.

Brad joined the MaxYield team in May of 2016 and is looking forward to being involved in agriculture every day. He hopes to provide profitable solutions and high quality client service to MaxYield clients. In his free time, Brad enjoys spending time with his wife, Andrea, and their two children, as well as working on his own farm.

Joe BolligJoe Bollig

Supply Chain Leader

To Joe, the best part of coming to work each day is working with growers on ways to maximize production and minimize risks on their farms.

He was raised on a farm near Fenton, Iowa, took farm management at ILCC, and started his professional career in the ag retail industry in 1991. He’s worked his way through all aspects of the business including crop consultant and plant manager. In 1999, Joe passed both state and national board tests to become a Certified Crop Adviser.

Joe is married to Julie Bollig. Together they have four children: Maleri, Madison Merideth and Seth.

Dan Bjorklund

Seed Team Leader

Prior to joining MaxYield Cooperative, Dan worked for several years as an agronomist at Land O’Lakes, Inc., where his primary duties were training team members at Answer Plot tours and evaluating genetics for advancement.

A graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in Agronomy, Dan has a passion for helping clients develop prescription based genetics by soil fertility to maximize yield. He’s excited to be a part of the MaxYield team because of its solutions based culture.

In his free time, Dan enjoys fishing, hunting, gardening and photography.

East Area Seed Solutions Specialist

A farm kid from near Forest City, Matt always knew he wanted to work in agriculture. He is a 2004 graduate of North Iowa Area Community College and has six years of seed sales management experience prior to coming to MaxYield in 2013.

He looks forward to his new role at MaxYield specializing strictly in seed. He looks forward to working one-on-one with clients in our east region, researching the best seed solutions for their farm.

Matt lives in the Forest City/Crystal Lake area and enjoys spending time with his wife Ashley and their daughter Kinsley. He also enjoys snowmobiling in Wisconsin and the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming.

Cody Ostendorf

East Area Seed Solutions Specialist

For Cody, providing solutions to the farmers MaxYield serves is what he enjoys most. He grew up on a grain farm near Meservey and knows the land and farmers in MaxYield’s eastern area.

Cody is a graduate of Iowa State University, completing his major in Agricultural Business, with a minor in Agronomy. He was a 2010 summer agronomy sales intern at MaxYield.

He and his wife Suni live near Meservey. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, and deer and turkey hunting.

Central Area Seed Solutions Specialist

For Steve, the best part about coming to work at MaxYield was the people. Our focus on the seed business also makes this an exciting place to be.

An Emmetsburg native, Steve is a 2005 graduate of Iowa Lakes Community College, and earned his agronomy degree in 2008 from Iowa State University. Before joining MaxYield in 2014, he worked for Ag Leader Technology in Ames and was a sales agronomist in the Emmetsburg area.

Steve views his role as a business partner and someone who likes to get his hands dirty, not just someone who sells seed. He has a passion for solving seed and agronomy challenges.

Steve and his wife Amanda recently welcomed their first child. In his free time he enjoys fishing, golf, and snowmobiling.

Tyler Stockwell

West Area Seed Solutions Specialist

A native of Laurens, Iowa, Tyler was very active on his family’s farm growing up. He attended Iowa Central Community College and graduated with a degree in Ag Technology in 2015. His passion for agriculture stems from great memories made on the family farm, and he’s dedicated to making sure future generations have similar experiences.

Tyler’s goal is simple. Every day he strives to find client-specific solutions in seed and seed treatments. To be successful, one must never stop learning and evolving. Tyler has fully embraced this mindset, and his enthusiasm towards providing solutions makes him a great addition to the MaxYield team.

Away from work, Tyler enjoys camping, golfing, ice fishing, and most importantly, spending time with his three children.

Tim Bruns - MaxYield CooperativeTim Bruns

Agronomy Specialist/West Bend – base location

Tim understands the challenge of being a farmer. He grew up on a farm and then spent eight years farming after he graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. degree in Farm Operations. Tim became a Certified Crop Adviser in 2000.

In his spare time, Tim enjoys fishing, hunting, and riding motorcycles. He has a daughter and son-in-law that live in Pella, Iowa and a son that is attending the University of Iowa in Iowa City.

Agronomy Specialist/Milford – base location

Brian was raised near Milford, Iowa and was very active on his family’s farm growing up. He graduated from Iowa Lakes Community College with a degree in Agricultural Business in 1997. Brian has worked in operations and seed and agronomy throughout his career. In 2005 he began his position as an Agronomy Specialist, first in Milford, then in Superior. In December of 2015, Brian returned to the Milford location.

He enjoys working for a consistent, progressive and grower friendly company. Brian is a certified Kansas City Barbeque Society Judge and enjoys judging barbeque contests in his free time, as well as spending time with his children and family.

Mark Eisenman

Agronomy Specialist/Britt –base location

Like most of his fellow Agronomy Solutions Specialists, Mark has spent a lifetime in agriculture. He grew up and continues to live on the family farm. His profession career spans 33 years in agriculture, 23 of them in retail.

He’s been married to Darcy for over 31 years. They have five children: Josh, Chad, Erin, Bailey and Ben.

Tom has been interested in agriculture ever since he helped out on his family farm. He graduated from Iowa Lakes Community College with a degree in what would now be known as Agricultural Business. Tom has been working in Superior since 1982. He has experience in a wide variety of areas including operations, client care, and sales. At MaxYield, Tom hopes to provide high quality client care and be able to find the best solutions for his clients.

In his free time, Tom enjoys spending time with his wife, Margaret, and visiting their three children.

With over twenty-nine years in the agronomy business, Jon brings the practical knowledge and experience to help MaxYield’s clients get the most from their fields.

Mason Mentink

Agronomy Specialist / Everly – base location

The culture, team members and opportunities made it an easy choice for Mason to choose MaxYield for his career. He graduated from Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE in 2014 in their Agriculture- College Transfer program, before earning his Ag Business degree recently at Iowa State University.

Mason spent his final college internship as a Sales Associate with a Pioneer seed dealer and is eager to build his career at MaxYield. He looks forward to building relationships with clients and working hard to earn their respect and to be an asset to their operation.

In addition to row-crop agriculture, Mason is very passionate about the livestock industry and raises show cattle with his brother. He also enjoys hunting, fishing and the outdoors.

Zach Merfeld

Agronomy Specialist

A recent addition to the MaxYield team, Zach graduated from Iowa State University in December 2017, earning his degree in agricultural studies with an agronomy minor.

Zach appreciated MaxYield’s reputation both on campus and in the field, listing it as a major reason for him start his career here. He also looks forward to learning from MaxYield’s great solutions team.

What he likes most about agriculture is finding products and solutions that help farmers be more efficient and profitable. Zach also looks forward to expanding his knowledge in the seed and agronomy industry and helping growers increase productivity.

In his free-time, Zach enjoys fishing, golfing, and watching Iowa State Cyclones sports.

Agronomy Specialist / Algona – base location

For Amanda, her passion for agriculture is equaled only by her passion for helping people. She grew up on a small working cattle ranch in eastern Colorado and made her way to Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, IA to join their golf team.

While earning her Bachelor of Arts in Bio-Chemistry and American History, she volunteered as an EMT. After graduation, Amanda worked as an emergency dispatcher before accepting a position with Land O’Lakes’ Answer Farm in Vincent, IA and then with their forage genetics division in Ames. Prior to MaxYield, she worked in agronomy at a local ag cooperative.

Growing up surrounded by agriculture, Amanda understands the overwhelming need for healthy family farms and she embraces the challenge of finding solutions to grow more with less.

She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Agronomy at Iowa State University. In her free time, Amanda enjoys golfing, camping and keeping some hobby livestock. She and her husband Travis reside on an acreage near Bode.

Levi began his career at MaxYield in December 2015. A recent graduate from Iowa State University, he earned his Ag Business degree, and a minor in agronomy.
He enjoys the complexity of agriculture and finding answers to the many challenges of the industry. Levi appreciates MaxYield’s client focus, team approach and adoption of new technology.
Levi likes to be at the forefront of new technology and looks forward to working with our team members and providing solutions to his clients.
He grew up on a farm in the Forest City area and in his free time, Levi likes spending time with friends, fishing and enjoying the outdoors.

Shelby Wagner

Agronomy Specialist / Emmetsburg & West Bend- base locations

A recent graduate from Iowa State University, building a career at MaxYield was an opportunity to return home for Shelby. After interning here, she earned her Agronomy degree and Animal Ecology minor December 2016. A native of West Bend, Shelby chose MaxYield because she has always heard good things about working here and she had a very positive internship experience.

Shelby is proud to work at MaxYield and looks forward to the opportunity to broaden her knowledge in seed, chemicals and agronomy and building relationships with clients. She is passionate about ag and its people. Shelby believes in the importance of agriculture and finding cost-effective solutions for growers, knowing that many of them are raising families and looking for smart solutions for their operations.

Away from work, Shelby’s hobbies include hunting, fishing, cooking, art and DIY projects.

Justin ZwiefelJustin Zwiefel

Agronomy Specialist  / Mallard – base location

Justin Zwiefel joined the MaxYield team in May of 2013. An agronomy specialist, Justin enjoys having a flexible education plan that helps him learn about many different areas of seed and agronomy. He is based at our Mallard location and looks forward to building strong relationships with MaxYield’s clients.

A native of Burt, IA, Justin is a 2013 graduate of South Dakota State University where he majored in agronomy. During his four years at SDSU, Justin was a member of the rodeo team and was very successful in the steer wrestling and calf roping competitions. In his free time, Justin continues to participate in rodeo competitions.

Peter Bixel

SciMax Solutions Team Leader

Peter’s priorities are the same as most of the clients he serves – family and farming. His farming and education experience make him the ideal choice to be our SciMax Solutions Advisory Team Leader with our focus on the business of farming.

He grew up on a farm in Ohio with popcorn, field corn, soybeans and wheat production. He even gets in some farming today. Peter graduated from Wilmington College with a Bachelors degree in Agricultural Business with a minor in Business Administration. He interned with Sygenta, NK Seeds, and Enterprise Rent A Car. Peter spent 5 years with a retail company in Ohio serving as location and sales manager for grain and agronomy.

With a motto of “work hard, play hard,” you’ll find Peter to be an excellent resource as you seek to maximize your precision farming business.

Rodney Legleighter

SciMax Solutions Specialist

Rodney hails from Nevada, Missouri where he grew up on a row crop and livestock farm and was very active in 4-H and FFA. Like the clients he helps, farming stayed in his blood. He received a Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in Agriculture Economics from the University of Missouri.

He moved to Iowa in 1996 to pursue a career at Broshar Implement, a John Deere dealership in Kanawha, Iowa. He worked in all areas of the dealership with an emphasis in the precision agriculture department.

When he’s not helping clients with strategies to increase their yields, you’ll find Rodney busy with family activities, hunting, fishing, golf and boating.

Megan Phelan

SciMax Solutions Specialist

Megan began her career at MaxYield Cooperative as an agronomy specialist in our West Area in 2013. A December 2012 graduate of Iowa State University, this farm girl has never been one to shy away from hard work; she earned degrees in both Agronomy and International Agriculture. She developed a diverse understanding of ag across the world, completing study abroad trips to Ghana, China and Brazil.

Prior to joining SciMax Solutions, Megan most recently served as precision ag specialist at Heartland Cooperative. She looks forward to helping growers use technology and solutions to increase profitability in their operation.

In her free-time, Megan enjoys bicycling and is an avid Iowa State Cyclones fan.

Chris Warren

SciMax Solutions Specialist

Chris is a recent addition to SciMax Solutions, joining the team in June 2015. He is native of Ringsted, IA and will be providing solutions in our west area.

He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota. Chris worked as a financial advisor for 5 years in Minneapolis prior to joining his family’s farming operation two years ago.

Chris is most looking forward to helping growers  implement new technology that will benefit their operations.

In his free time, he enjoys golfing and spending time with friends.
